Movie Synopsis :
Thomas Kaiser inherits an ancestral mansion that has been in his family for generations — only to learn that he has also inherited an ancient curse stemming back to the Crusades. Forced into his new role as “protector” — the guardian appointed to keep the evil demons in the house at bay — Thomas teams with an ambitious local realtor and paranormal cleric to unravel the mystery of the house, while struggling to awaken the beautiful Briar Rose, held captive in a terrifying netherworld seen previously in his dreams.

About Movies :
Ethan Peck, grandson of Gregory, stars in this horror film riff on the Brothers Grimm classic.
The latest in a long line of horror films shamelessly ripping off the Brothers Grimm won't leave you believing in fairy tales. It will, however, restore your faith in genetics.

That's because its lead actor, Ethan Peck, is the grandson of Gregory Peck. And he's so drop-dead handsome and chiseled (qualities that the film exploits endlessly) that it's not surprising that he's the face of the new Ferragamo fashion film campaign.  Whether or not he's inherited his grandfather's acting talent is another story, since The Curse of Sleeping Beauty provides little opportunity for him to do anything other than look pained.

Movie Synopsis :
Lee Gates is a TV personality whose insider tips have made him the money guru of Wall Street. When Kyle loses all of his family's money on a bad tip, he holds Lee and his entire show hostage on air threatening to kill Lee if he does not get the stock up 24 and a half points before the bell.

About Movies :
Cross “Dog Day Afternoon’’ with “The Big Short’’ and throw in a dash of “Network’’ and you’ve got “Money Monster,’’ a clever financial thriller with comic overtones that’s a solid investment of your time thanks to stellar work by George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

Clooney is in top form, leveraging his star persona as Lee, a self-loathing TV financial guru (think Jim Cramer) who pushes stocks to his gullible audience with props, puns, flashy graphics and backup dancers.

A high-tech stock Lee touts, Ibis Clear Capital, drops $800 million in the blink of an eye. So Lee invites his pal, Ibis CEO Walt (Dominic West) to come in for a softball interview on his show “Money Matters,” where the CEO can spin a tale of how a “computer glitch’’ wiped out investors.

Walt doesn’t show, but Lee has an uninvited guest, Kyle (a very good Jack O’Connell), an angry package-delivery man from Queens, who wants an explanation of where his $60,000 investment in Ibis went. His hostile takeover involves forcing Lee to don an explosive jacket at gunpoint on live TV while Kyle holds the trigger.

Lee is spectacularly ill-equipped to give Kyle what he wants, but fortunately Lee has a preternaturally unflappable and whip-smart director in Patty (Roberts in her juiciest role in years).

Patty has to calm down the terrified Lee, keep him from antagonizing Kyle, make Lee participate in “real journalism” (probably for the first time in his life) and, oh yeah, hold off the overeager cops.

I don’t want to give away too much about “Money Monster,’’ which takes place more or less in real time and eventually moves the action out of the TV studio and into the teeming streets of lower Manhattan.

But it’s packed with more twists than a bag of pretzels, even if some of them strain credulity a bit. And there are more than a few lighthearted cutaways about Asian programmers, Icelandic hackers and a producer who tests a new “erectile cream’’ on himself.

Movie Synopsis :

An American couple, Paul and Marianne, spend their vacation in Italy and and experiences trouble when the wife invites a former lover and his teenage daughter to visit, which leads to jealousy and dangerous sexual scenarios.

About Movies :

This film has nothing specifically to do with David Hockney, aside from the presence of swimming pools glinting in full-beam sunlight and regular eruptions of water spray as divers plunge in. In fact, this is a remake/update of La Piscine, Jacques Deray’s hothouse psychosexual drama from 1969, featuring Alain Delon and his former girlfriend Romy Schneider, as well as Jane Birkin and Maurice Ronet. It is directed by Italian film-maker Luca Guadagnino, best known perhaps for I Am Love, continuing his unlikely collaboration with Tilda Swinton (who takes the Schneider role, opposite Belgian hunk-of-the-month Matthias Schoenaerts), and together they have concocted a film that is both deeply strange and undeniably funny.

The latter comes mostly by way of Ralph Fiennes, who plays a motormouth producer-promoter type called Harry who shows up unexpectedly in Swinton/Schoenaerts’ sun-washed Sicilian-island idyll. Harry is the former partner of Swinton’s David Bowie-ish silver-jumpsuited rock star, named Marianne Lane: Harry, an apparently amiable figure who’s always chuntering on about which is the best Rolling Stones album or how to find the tastiest ricotta, clearly has a hidden agenda to drive a wedge between Marianne and Schoenaerts’ sensitive film-maker Paul. To this end he has brought along, unannounced, slinky 22-year-old Penelope (Dakota Johnson), who he says is his daughter.

And so the scene is set, against the backdrop of the spectacular rocky landscapes of Pantelleria, for an intense game of emotional chess. Harry, in his blundering way, is always looking for opportunities to prise Marianne away from the group, leaving the brooding Paul and the cut-offs-wearing Penelope alone together. Swinton is on imperious form here, her natural hauteur only amplified by the alpha-female status of her character.
