Movie Synopsis :

A family of four is quarantined in their home as a virulent strand of the flu spreads into town and they are forced to the extreme to escape alive.

About Movies :

Family dynamics matter more than festering undead in “What We Become,” a Danish horror movie that, like the first season of “Fear the Walking Dead,” examines the rapid disruption of social order when a mysterious virus threatens an affluent suburb.

That preference for lingering on inchoate terrors over visible monsters, though, creates an extended tease that will frustrate genre expectations and make this modest, elegant little movie a tough sell to zombie-saturated audiences. Yet the writer and director, Bo Mikkelsen, has spent his money wisely, building a believably imperfect family of four around the strong actress Mille Dinesen, who plays the increasingly distraught mother, Pernille, with velvety control.

Muting the usual cacophony of manipulative musical cues and assaultive sound effects — for long stretches, the movie is almost hushed — Mr. Mikkelsen stirs claustrophobia into panic.

Watch The Darkness 2016 HD

Movie Synopsis :
A family returns from a Grand Canyon vacation with a supernatural presence in tow.

About Movies :
Blumhouse Productions stays in “Paranormal Activity”/“Insidious” mode with “The Darkness,” its latest slick-looking, modestly budgeted ghost-fest. From the troubled child who communes with the beyond to the featureless suburban home that hosts malicious spirits, this movie ticks all the boxes for modern mainstream shockers.

The cast is the typical mix of accomplished vets and talented newcomers. Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell play Peter and Bronny Taylor, a seemingly happily married couple privately coping with his affairs, her alcoholism and their two troubled kids: anorexic teen Stephanie (Lucy Fry) and autistic preadolescent Mikey (David Mazouz).

Then the Taylors’ house becomes a staging ground for all manner of freaky occurrences: wild animal infestations, inexplicable stenches, inky black spots on the walls and so on. At first, everyone blames Mikey, who’s always been quirky. But eventually the family can’t deny a supernatural explanation.

“The Darkness” was directed by Greg McLean, who had a cult hit a decade ago with the brutal serial killer thriller “Wolf Creek.” This new film doesn’t have that one’s elemental pull. The story’s pacing is slack and choppy, spending most of its first hour moving from one bizarre incident to the next with no sense of where all the mayhem may be heading.

• Runtime: 92 min
• Rating   : Rated PG-13 for thematic elements, some disturbing violence, brief sensuality and language

Movie Synopsis :
While on her bachelorette party getaway, Casey, the bride to be, gets a seemingly harmless bite from an unknown insect. After returning home with cold feet, Casey tries to call off her wedding but before she's able to, she starts exhibiting insect like traits. Between her physical transformation and her wedding anxiety, Casey succumbs to her new instincts and begins creating a hive that not only houses her translucent eggs, but feeds on the flesh of others. As her transformation becomes complete, Casey discovers that everything can change with a single bite.

About Movies :
Three friends head to the tropical paradise of Costa Rica for an extended bachelorette party, but after one of the girls is bitten by an unseen creature they realize too late that they should have gone to Las Vegas instead — because what happens in the jungle is about to follow them home.

Casey (Elma Begovic) and her two best friends, Jill (Annette Wozniak) and Kirsten (Denise Yuen), are celebrating Casey’s impending nuptials with an exotic vacation. Drinks, dancing and exploring the wonders of nature are all on the schedule, but their last day and night there end the trip on a less than thrilling note. Casey is bitten on her thigh while cooling off in a milky spring, and by the time they return home the bite appears nearly infected.

She has more pressing concerns though as growing doubts about the wedding and the unspoken fact that she and Jared (Jordan Grey) don’t share the same plans for a family leave her stressed and frazzled. Mother-in-law issues along with worries that she may not have been faithful on the vacation fracture her nerves further, but as Casey’s body begins to change her abilities and desires follow suit. Casey was bitten, but those around her are about to feel the bite.

Watch The Final Project 2016 HD

Movie Synopsis :

Six eager students strike out to explore and record live footage of supernatural activity at an abandoned plantation, but one unsettled spirit gives them more than they asked for.

About Movie :

The found footage concept may have reached its endpoint with the deeply unsatisfying “The Final Project,” opening in limited release today before expanding nationwide in March. For years now, heavily inspired by the critical and commercial success of “The Blair Witch Project,” we’ve watched young people with recording equipment fall victim to supernatural forces. Again and again, filmmakers have foregone horror genre elements like atmosphere or even plot in an attempt to provide a you-are-there experience. At their best, found footage films transport us across that line that gives us the safety of “it’s only a movie.” At their worst, their faux realism fails to hide the poor acting, lack of screenwriting and incompetent filmmaking. Such is the case with “The Final Project,” an aggravating, meandering journey through a reportedly haunted location in the South.

Watch The Other Side of the Door 2016 HD

Movie Synopsis :

Grieving over the loss of her son, a mother struggles with her feelings for her daughter and her husband. She seeks out a ritual that allows her say goodbye to her dead child, opening the veil between the world of the dead and the living. Her daughter becomes the focus of terror. She must now protect against the evil that was once her beloved son.

About Movie :

Ghost stories and haunted house tales are common across a wide variety of cultures, so it seems like India, with its stunning diversity of traditions, would offer ample material to enliven the horror genre. Johannes Roberts’ feature only intermittently hints at this rich heritage, however, mostly adopting the cultural trappings of the subcontinent to dress up a fairly routine account of loss and supernatural transgression. Fox’s March release could get a boost internationally from the worldwide dispersion of South Asian audiences, but it may miss the mark domestically.

In setting the scene for the film’s crucial first act, Roberts may take things somewhat too leisurely, introducing American couple Michael (Jeremy Sisto) and Maria (Sarah Wayne Callies), who live a privileged life in Mumbai, where Michael deals in high-end antiques and Maria looks after their two children, Oliver (Logan Creran) and younger sister Lucy (Sofia Rosinsky). So when a terrible road accident sends her SUV plunging into a river and Maria can only save Lucy as water pours inexorably into their vehicle, she feels entirely responsible for Oliver’s death. Chronic depression leads her to attempt suicide, alarming hopelessly confused Michael, who has no idea how to draw his wife back from the brink of oblivion. In secret, their housekeeper Piki (Suchitra Pillai) offers Maria a potential source of solace.

The Witch 2016

Movie Synopsis :

New England in the 1630s: William and Katherine lead a devout Christian life with five children, homesteading on the edge of an impassable wilderness. When their newborn son vanishes and crops fail, the family turns on one another. Beyond their worst fears, a supernatural evil lurks in the nearby wood.

About Movie :

There are confident first features, and there’s The Witch, the exhilaratingly scary debut in which writer-director Robert Eggers tramples over the cowardice of the genre he’s just grabbed by the throat. Reverentially adapted from a ghoulish piece of Puritan folklore (much of the dialogue is lifted verbatim from 17th-century documents), The Witch is one of the most genuinely unnerving horror films in recent memory because Eggers has the guts to earn your fear.

A family of fundamentalist pilgrims is banished from their walled New England settlement as punishment for an undefined conflict. They're forced to resettle in a gray stretch of field that lies on the lip of some truly sinister woods. Fresh off the boat from England and already outcasts in their adopted country, William the woodcutter (Ralph Ineson) leads his wife (Kate Dickey) and five children to the rotten clearing where they will begin again, isolated in their struggle against the elements, a fallow harvest and—most urgent of all—the paralyzing grip of their supposed sins. Before William’s brood can get comfortable and re-establish a link with the lord, their newborn is snatched into the forest with supernatural speed.

Watch The Final Project 2016

Such is the case with “The Final Project,” an aggravating, meandering journey through a reportedly haunted location in the South

Local folklore tells the story of the Lafitte Plantation in Vacherie, Louisiana, once reportedly the inspiration for Tara in “Gone with the Wind” but now a run-down, dilapidated building, overrun by foliage and unoccupied. The idea that a found footage film could play off the era of hit TV shows like “Ghost Hunters” and take us to a real location to mine it for atmosphere is a great one, but director Taylor Ri’chard isn’t really interested in Lafitte. It’s a background that might as well be a Hollywood set or a house down the street from you it’s so poorly utilized. It has no personality when it should really be the star of the film.

Instead, we spend an inordinate amount of time with the six college students who have decided to spend the night at Lafitte for a graduation project (it’s not quite clear what the project would possibly look like in the end even after a scene in a classroom in which they tell their teacher about it). For half of the film’s remarkably short running time, we “hang” with the six students as they plan their project and head out to Lafitte. Such hanging includes a bit of character development in a potential love triangle, another possible hook-up, and, well, that’s about it. The “characters” in “The Final Project” are the kind of paper-thin movie folk who talk during the entire trip to the plantation about manscaping and how many people they’ve slept with. And imagine that inane chatter filmed from the back of a van with a bumpy handicam. It’s arguably the scariest scene in the movie.

Watch The Pack 2015

Movie Synopsis :

A farmer and his family must fight for survival after a ferocious pack of wild dogs infiltrates their isolated farmhouse. Through a series of frightening and bloody encounters they are forced into survival mode to make it through the night.

About Movies :

Filmmakers have known since at least 1983 that it takes more than snarling dogs to make a decent snarling-dog horror movie. That’s the year that “Cujo,” the film version of Stephen King’s novel, came out, and in addition to the fearsome title character, a deranged St. Bernard, it had a disintegrating marriage, a boy who was afraid of monsters, and more to help add interest.

The lessons of 1983, though, are lost on the makers of “The Pack,” a dreary Australian movie, directed by Nick Robertson, that has more dogs than “Cujo” but noticeably less plot. After an ominous setup tells us that “around the world, packs of wild dogs roam freely, killing at will,” we meet a family of four (Jack Campbell and Anna Lise Phillips play the mom and dad) on a remote sheep farm. They keep finding their animals torn to pieces and are in danger of losing the farm, a possible plot enhancement that isn’t developed before the dog pack inhabiting their land decides that humans might be tastier than livestock.

The four are trapped on their property, and we’re trapped, waiting for something to happen other than the one fright — ominous silence, broken abruptly by a snarling dog — that the film turns to repeatedly. We learn nothing much about the family members except that outsmarting dogs doesn’t seem to be their forte. Also not a forte of anyone involved in this project: originality in picking a name. “The Pack” was already used as the title of a 1977 movie about dogs run amok.
