Movie Synopsis :
On his way out of the wilderness, Jesus struggles with the Devil over the fate of a family in crisis, setting himself up for a dramatic test.

About Movies :
Whether or not you accept the tenets of Christianity, “Last Days in the Desert,” Rodrigo García’s austere depiction of the temptations of Christ, offers a quietly compelling portrait of the human side of Jesus, wrestling with his doubts while wandering through the Judean desert. Jesus (Ewan McGregor), called Yeshua, the Hebrew name for Jesus, is accompanied by a teasing, satanic doppelgänger (also Mr. McGregor) whom only he can see.

In a mocking tone, the demon declares, “I am a liar — that is the truth,” and baits Yeshua about his faith. Yeshua’s heavenly father, about whom the demon seems more knowledgeable than Yeshua, is more Old Testament then New. In the demon’s description, he is as vain, temperamental and easily distracted as a spoiled emperor and cares more about his power than his loved ones.

In this movie of few words, there are no extended theological debates or lengthy quotations from Scripture. What dialogue exists is down to earth and devoid of oratorical pomposity. There no parables, words of wisdom or reflections on eternal life. Yeshua’s relationship to God is personal and private.

Much of the film’s poetic eloquence lies in the cinematography of Emmanuel Lubezki (“Birdman” and “The Revenant,” among others). Filmed in natural light, the craggy desert vistas beneath a cloudy sky evoke a magnificent desolation. (The movie was shot in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in Southern California.) In its searching depth, the soundtrack by Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans evokes the brooding music of Arvo Pärt.

Embrace of the Serpent Full Movie

Movie Synopsis :

The epic story of the first contact, encounter, approach, betrayal and, eventually, life-transcending friendship, between Karamakate, an Amazonian shaman, last survivor of his people, and two scientists that, over the course of 40 years, travel through the Amazon in search of a sacred plant that can heal them. Inspired by the journals of the first explorers of the Colombian Amazon, Theodor Koch-Grunberg and Richard Evans Schultes.

About Movie :

Ciro Guerra's Embrace of the Serpent opens on a stray bank of the Amazon river, the black-and-white frame's opacity so blown out by sunlight (and its reflection) that the river and the sky find no visible border. The jungle's lushness speaks for itself early and often, and while it's beyond played out to describe a film's location as one of its supporting characters, Guerra finds no small amount of serene menace from which to mine dramatic tension. Co-written with Jacques Toulemonde Vidal, the film's screenplay narrativizes a stitchwork of myth and history, concerning a fictitious psychedelic blossom, the yakruna, sought by two real-life white anthropologists: Theodor Koch-Grunberg (Jan Bijvoet) in 1909, and Richard Evans Schultes (Brionne Davis) some 40 or so years later. Both men are guided by an indigenous shaman, Karamakate (played alternately by Nibio Torres and Antonio Bolivar), who functions as the film's emotional anchor.

Cinematographer David Gallego's muscular tracking movements posit nothing so much as the question of arriving—of witnessing something for the first time, and with uncertain eyes. A man ostensibly standing outside of history's long march, Karamakate has long since accepted that he's the last remaining member of the Cohiuano tribe. As Theo's research suggests more survivors may be found upriver, the two enter into a shaky bargain, and Karamakate's handling of Theo—wheezing, emaciated, feverish, in search of the yakruna for his own medicinal benefit—allow for queasy overtures toward an upturned power dynamic. The parallel 1940s plotline is more subdued, but it carries its own unease: Even if Evans is the latest white man to arrive in the jungle insisting he means no harm, Karamakate's paranoid resentment, so evident in the man's body language, suggests he believes otherwise.

Watch Free Deadpool 2016

Movie Synopsis :

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

About Movie :

Since the first of Marvel’s heroes began making the jump from comic book to video game, fans of Deadpool have been waiting for their turn. The ‘Merc with a Mouth’ has finally made the transition thanks to High Moon Studios, who have turned to some reliable sources; calling on comic book writer Daniel Way to provide the script, and some of the X-Men’s best and brightest to offer support.

The very first announcement trailer promised that the unique sense of humor and irreverence synonymous with the comic book character would remain intact, but can gameplay measure up as well? Or is Deadpool an experience only the most devoted fans will be able to appreciate? Read on for our review.

First, the good news: Deadpool is absolutely a game that fans of the source material will appreciate, which in itself is a compliment to the developers at High Moon. Making a ‘funny’ video game is a risky feat in any case, and given Deadpool’s polarizing style and irreverence, the studio’s decision to bring Daniel Way on board makes perfect sense

It’s a decision that pays dividends, with writing from beginning to end that could be pulled directly from a “Deadpool” comic arc. For those unfamiliar with the character, a little explanation is required since he isn’t your typical ‘video game prtoagonist.’ For starters, Deadpool isn’t just a hired killer; he’s a twisted, crass egomaniac who is not only incapable of taking anything seriously, but sporting split personalities and a supercharged libido that could only exist in the fringes of Marvel’s X-Men universe.
